ERM job insights [Beta launch: July 11th]

We’ve made a new addition to the Jobs tab on an Employer's page that displays some quick insights about a company’s postings over the past year. They are intended to give you easy access to information that might inform your strategy for working with a particular organisation.

Video migration [Launched: July 15th] 

We have moved to a new video provider, Daily, for all virtual meetings in Handshake, including career fairs and appointments. Daily allows us to increase group session capacity from 50 to 75 attendees and includes several highly requested features, such as picture in picture, pinning videos, and virtual backgrounds.

On-campus employment (OCE) updates [Launched: July 17th]  

We’ve launched new administrative tools to make it easier to manage on-campus employers, such as transferring owners and creating new on-campus employer accounts. 

OCE: School permissions [Launched: 17th July]

As a part of the OCE launch, we’ve also updated school permissions—settings that allow employers to give schools access to edit their profiles and/or jobs. Schools automatically have these permissions for their OCEs (as well as any employer accounts created by career centre staff). Non-OCEs can also grant careers centres the ability to edit / posts jobs on their behalf.

Virtual career fair flexible session durations [Launched: July 18th] 

We’ve introduced a new setting for virtual career fairs that allows you to select different session durations for 1:1 and group sessions. Employers are able to build their schedules using the durations you’ve selected as options.
