Handshake student product updates—13th June 2025

Improved job search experience [Launched: 30 May 2025]

Clicking on a job on the student homepage now opens the Job Search page with that job pre-selected and its details open, but still keeping job seekers inside the broader job browsing experience. Previously, students were directed to the job details page only—a "dead end" of sorts that made it difficult to continue browsing for other opportunities.

iOS Profile QR Codes [Launched: 4 June 2025]

On iOS, students can now generate a QR code pointing to their Handshake profile. This gives them an easy way to connect with peers, contacts, and recruiters while on campus or at in-person events.

Job alerts [Launched: 4 June 2025]

We launched a button to create a new job alert directly from job lists found on the student homepage. This makes it easier for students to act on relevant recommendations by instantly creating new alerts.

Profile completion insights [Launched: June 2025]

Students using the iOS app can now track how complete their profile is via the Insights tab. The profile completion screen includes status bars for every element of the profile.
