Handshake student product updates—13th May 2025

Job type in work experience on Web [Launched: 7th May 2025]:

When adding roles to their profile, students will now see a required Job Type dropdown. This makes it easier to label their experience as full-time, part-time, internship, on-campus, or fellowship—helping them share more relevant information.

Personal email banner [Launched: 10th April, 2025]

We’ve started rolling out a banner on the student homepage encouraging users to add a personal email address to their account, which will help them maintain access to their account after graduation.

Socio-economic field in settings [Launched: April 2025]

It’s now easier for students to update their socio-economic information on their profiles. Previously this information was collected only during onboarding but now, they can access and edit this information anytime from their Settings page.
