Handshake student product updates—16th December

Redesigned student profile [Full launch: 27th November, 2024]

As of 27th November the redesigned student profile is available to all students on iOS and web. The new profile includes the ability for students to message and follow their peers encouraging them to begin building their network and form peer-to-peer connections across universities. .

Work authorisation in onboarding [Launched: November, 2024]

We now ask students to populate their work authorisation details as part of the on-boarding process.

Auto-captions [Launched: 6th December, 2024]

We have now rolled out auto-captions, provided by our new video provider Daily, to all partners. This means anyone engaging in a virtual connection on Handshake (such as virtual appointments or virtual fairs) will be able to turn on auto-generated captions.
