New spotty wifi CTA and help article [Launched: February 24, 2025]

When at an event or fair with poor wifi, employers using the Events mobile app will now see a warning and help article to troubleshoot the situation and ensure they are still able to optimise the use of the offline app functionality.

Incomplete event and fair check-in tracking [Launched: February 24, 2025]

Previously, event check-ins were only logged once the attendee completed the full check-in process. With this update, employers with the Events module will have visibility into event and fair attendees who started but did not complete the event check-in process.

Events app offline check in [Launched: 5th March 2025]

Students can still successfully check-in with their iOS mobile app even when they're offline. Once they're back online, their check in is submitted.

Improvements to event and fair reminder emails for employers [Launched: 7th March 2025]

To ensure employers are set up for success, we made updates to our automated event and fair reminder emails to include the most relevant resources and help articles.

Employer search and Brand Page visibility [Launched: 13th March 2025]

Employers now have the ability to search for and view Brand Pages in Handshake. This update allows employer users to review their own Brand Page, as well as search for the Brand Pages of their peers and competitors from the candidate perspective.

Ability to personalise automated event emails to students [Launched: 17th March 2025]

Employers with the Events module now have the ability to personalise the automated event registration email sent out from Handshake.

Automated event messaging [Launched: 17th March 2025]

Employers with the Events module have access to a new communications tab which provides them with visibility into the automated emails Handshake sends relating to their upcoming events.

Advanced fairs [Launched: March 2025]

Advanced fairs boasts new functionality for employers to make it easier for them to connect with students and provide them with relevant information. Updates for employers include:

  • Improved 1:1 session functionality to help employers connect with the right students including:

  • The ability to target students using employer labels and additional filters

  • The ability to decline 1:1 sessions and provide more context to students as to why this is

  • New employer profiles whereby they can share more relevant information about their brand curated to the type of fair and students who will be in attendance.

  • Easy to manage job wall where they can promote the relevant opportunities they’re hiring for.
